Sikhamani Ameena Faisz Musthapha

Meet Mrs. Ameena Musthapha, a passionate marriage counselor dedicated to strengthening relationships and uplifting the community.

With a Diploma in Marriage Counseling from the Family Studies and Services Institute, she’s also a former lecturer and has received the national "Sikhamani" award for her social service.

Her leadership roles include serving as President of the Sri Lanka Muslim Women’s Conference and the Muslim Ladies Study Circle, as well as heading the Safa Counselling Centre. She's also a patron of Shanthi Alaya (a home for mentally ill patients) and vice president at Islamia Home for orphaned boys.

Driven by a deep commitment to create positive change, she combines her bubbly personality with years of expertise to uplift the community and help build healthier marriages.

Farman Nizar

Director

Mr. Farman Nizar is not only passionate about the pursuit of knowledge but also dedicated to its practical application.

As one of the key figures behind the establishment of the SAFA Counseling Centre, he brings expertise in developing innovative marketing strategies and demonstrating exceptional leadership skills. Currently, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Healthguard Pharmacy Ltd.

Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Farman is deeply rooted in his faith, family, and community service.

His contributions were instrumental in developing SAFA's Pre-Marital Workshop, and his advice and guidance are vital in ensuring the excellence of our services.

M.S.M. Asmiyas

Director

Meet M.S.M. Asmiyas, he is currently the Director at the National Institute of Social Development, under Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Social Empowerment & Welfare.

With a solid academic background, Asmiyas holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Peradeniya, a Master of Social Work from Bharathiar University in India, and an MPhil in Mental Health from the same institution.

His work in social development and mental health has been transformative, driving research and policies that aim to improve the well-being of communities. Asmiyas brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to social change, always working to make a lasting impact on society.
